About the client: IAJ

The Institute for the Advancement of Journalism (IAJ) is an established media journalism and communications training institution based in Johannesburg, South Africa. IAJ was set up by veteran South African editors and journalists to provide mid-career training to media professionals, and is relevant to the rapidly changing media landscape. IAJ is South Africa’s premier provider of journalism and communications short courses, long-term mentorships and residency programmes, with an African footprint and global reach through its international partners.



The Execution
We were tasked to redesign the entire corporate ID for the organisation this included a new logo, letterhead, email signatures, and outdoor signage. Underpinning and guiding our design rationale was to modernise the brand ensure that is is easily recognisable and appeals to a younger market.

We also conceptualised a coffee table book. As part of the conceptualization process we developed the following:
